The American Sleep and Breathing Academy is an organization dedicated to enriching our members’ knowledge and skill in the treatment of sleep-disordered breathing. Our goal is to provide current evidence-based information to our members and enable them to provide optimal treatment for their patients. The Academy offers certification to its members as a confirmation of their knowledge, skill, and experience.
On October 15-16, 2021, in Minneapolis, the ASBA will be holding a review course and exam that is offered to Dentists who wish to attain diplomacy with the American Sleep and Breathing Academy. This event will be taught by two of our most experienced instructors:
Dr. Jon Caulfield, DDS, ASBA President and Dr. Rudi Ferrate, MD, ASBA Medical Director
Dr. Jon W. Caulfield owns and operates Epic Dentistry in Littleton, Colorado where he takes an integrated, whole health approach to dentistry, specializing in the areas of Sleep, Airway, and TMJ. He has been fortunate to work alongside world leaders in neuromuscular occlusion and pneumopedics and is now paying it forward, teaching hundreds of dentists worldwide how to integrate solutions for sleep, airway and TMJ into their practices. Dr. Caulfield is an instructor at the Institute for Craniofacial Sleep Medicine and leads the Clinical Advisory and Advocate Program at Vivos Therapeutics. A graduate of the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry, Dr. Caulfield also holds an advanced graduate degree with Occlusion Connections and a diplomate status with the American Sleep and Breathing Academy.
Dr. Rudi Ferrate MD, DABSM is currently the Chief Medical Officer for the ASBA, he is also Medical Director for the following practices; Sleep Alternatives, Salt Lake in South Jordan, ArrowHead Health and Sleep, Motion Health and Wellness in Phoenix, AZ. His private practice is in Salt Lake Valley and is focused on Sleep Medicine, Integrative Medicine, and Wellness. From early on in his career he understood that anyone’s Knowledge is quickly outdated. That medicine is a wonderful yet highly complex science that is constantly upgrading and that the different organ, emotional and biological systems interplay in ways we are just beginning to understand. For this reason, he has been dedicated to continued studies in the fields and specialties pertaining to sleep disorders, healthy aging, hormone balance, weight loss, and wellness. His goal is to find ways to permit the body to utilize its own healing processes and diminish the need for synthetic pharmaceuticals.
