Dr. Peter Mansbach, Ph.D.

Peter Mansbach is president and founder of Circadian Sleep Disorders Network, a patient advocacy organization seeking to increase awareness and accommodation for Circadian Rhythm Sleep Disorders such as Delayed Sleep Phase Disorder and Non-24-Hour Sleep-Wake Disorder. Dr. Mansbach received his B.A. in physics from Harvard University, and his Ph.D. in physics (general relativity) from Brandeis University. He was diagnosed with Delayed Sleep Phase Syndrome (DSPS) in 1979, even before the seminal paper defining this disorder was published. Since then he has managed to find employment that has allowed him to start work around 2:00 pm and continue into the evening. He has recently retired from paying work, and is currently devoting his time to the Circadian Sleep Disorders Network.
