Welcoming a Global Exchange of Innovation in Sleep, Imaging & Cranial Wellness

August 7, 2025

Join Us: October 10–11, 2025 | Phoenix, Arizona

The American Sleep and Breathing Academy (ASBA) is honored to announce a landmark Study Club gathering in Phoenix, Arizona, bringing together leading experts in dental sleep medicine, craniofacial therapy, airway health, and imaging innovation.

This year, we are privileged to welcome Prof. Dr. Gopalakrishnan Dharmarajan, MDS, Ph.D., Dean of the Manipal College of Dental Sciences (MAHE), Manipal, India, as our honorary international guest. Recognized worldwide for his clinical excellence, visionary leadership, and dedication to integrating Eastern and Western approaches to healthcare, Dr. Gopal’s visit marks a significant milestone in ASBA’s global outreach.

During his stay, 'Dr. Gopal' will not only participate in the Study Club but will also tour Gergen’s Orthodontic Lab, exploring opportunities to collaborate on the development of a sustainable and scalable Sleep Apnea Treatment Model for India—anchored at the world-renowned Manipal College of Dental Sciences.

Innovators in Focus

Dr. Tim Adams, DDS, D.ACSDD, D.ASBA

Formerly of the Las Vegas Institute (LVI), Dr. Tim Adams will lead an in-depth session on cranial strains and their impact on posture, airway, neurology, tongue position and TMJ dysfunction utilizing the open loop cricket appliance. This device is utilized to unwind and help in realigning cranial bones, relieving strain patterns and in many cases can help to correct the root cause instead of the symptoms only. It is sometimes the only solution capable of resolving complex TMJ issues. Dr. Adams is a master at distalizing the complex into a simplified clinical approach that makes sense.

Dr. Francisco Eraso, DDS

Orthodontist, radiologist, and one of the founding members of Beam Readers, Dr. Eraso will provide expert training on advanced cone beam CT integration. Attendees will learn how to combine digital impressions with 3D CBCT data to create a custom clear tray system—a breakthrough approach for correcting cranial strains and supporting sleep apnea treatment through precision imaging.

David Gergen, CDT

A cornerstone of the ASBA and one of the most respected dental technicians in the world, David Gergen will join this elite panel. With decades of experience in sleep appliance therapy, David continues to guide the industry through innovation, education, and mentorship.
